Duke Nukem Forever Confirmed After 14 Years
Finally confirmed, first by a tweet from Gearbox Software, and then on the Penny Arcade Expo boot, Duke Nukem Forever is now finally coming out. After 14 years of delays and issues, we're finally witnessing the return of the king.
The game is being developed by Gearbox Software (the guys who made Borderlands), picking up where 3D Realms left off, after being dismantled because of legal issues. Duke Nukem Forever is on its way, and it contains everything we expect from it: the women, the aliens, the awesome weapons, the badassery and much, much more.
Some of the mechanics we've seen on the game include the "Ego" system, where his health is regenerated only when Duke is doing bad-ass things; vehicles and... Duke Nukem drawing. The launch trailer of the game wasn't shown on the stream and is only available for those at the Penny Arcade Expo, but it will surely be available on the internet in no time. The game is confirmed for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, due to next year.
The gallery displays a few screenshots taken from the stream, and here's some off screen gameplay footage.

i think the problem was 3d realms just had to much gum on hand. gearbox instituted a no gum policy
@Tailgunner, i do care about this, u can always bet on duke baby!
still, i wont believe it until im playing it on my ps3
If this game actually comes out, I won't know in what to believe anymore.
I would trust the borderlands guys to make a good game! Its in good hands.
I'll believe it when it's in my Xbox 360. At this point I still think it's a practical joke that 3D Realms thought was funny as hell and now 2K Games has picked up the prank for the lols.
People are going to expect way too much out of this game, and I personally think even though it probably won't be too bad, it will be hated.
@piccoro: if your post was a request, yes, it comes. // i absolutely dont care for duke... am i doomed?
hehehe yeah right.. and my name is Arnold Schwarzenegger
after 14 years of waiting, it probably sucks in the end lol
Gearbox is shipping the unshippable game? They must feel badass.
Or are we getting ahead of ourselves here?
I said it before when everyone was bashing and saying it would never come and I'll say it again... Always bet on Duke!
I just can't wait for this game to come out so then people will just be quiet about this game and its long delay.
