Top Ten: Samus Aran Cosplays

For those that do not know, cosplay is the general term for dressing up as a character in whatever fandom you like, to both show support and adoration of that character.  It comes from the Japanese method of cutting two words in half to make a portmanteau, so when you play around in a costume, "costume play" becomes "cosplay."  People have taken to cosplay at conventions and other nerdy “festivals” of sorts, to show off and get some attention.  For Metroid Week, I really wanted to find some good cosplay pics of a multitude of characters from the games.  Whether it be Mother Brain, Kraid, Ridley, a Metroid, etc.  Problem was that it seems that all anybody ever dresses up as is Samus Aran, which is usually good as she is a beautiful lady.  On some bad cases you get stuff like this:

But the rest of the time, good costumes were to be found.  Without further ado, this is a list of the top ten Samus Cosplays that I could find searching around on the internet.  If you know of some others, feel free to post them in the comments!

Thaís Yuki is the best Samus cosplayer she is the one in pics 5 and 9

I think the 6th and 10th pictures are of the same person just the 10th has the helmet on. either way it's the best pic.

In no particular order? To me, it seemed more like the best were at the bottom. Anyway, some pretty impressive costumes there, though I think I've seen the best already.
