Final Fantasy Versus XIII Not Guaranteed for 2011

Here comes some annoying news regarding one of Square Enix's major upcoming Final Fantasy titles. During gamescom, Versus XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase said that Square Enix "cannot commit" to a 2011 release.

“We have no release date information to update. Unfortunately we can’t say anything about that. We can’t commit ourselves to 2011 either.”

He didn't specify whether this was for Japan or in the West but we can only hope he's talking about the West. A 2012 release over here is still too far away, but it's more bearable than the game finally coming out in Japan in 2012, and possibly mid to late 2012 everywhere else. Guess this pushes Kingdom Hearts III for a while too...

i think theres a rare chance its a David Jaffe type of supprise, but i dont think SE do good supprises, lol.

That hurt...............A LOT! Anyone smell a late 2015 Kingdom Hearts III release date........for japan? To those saying its being delayed because it's being ported to the 360...remember that the development was stopped for a while to help finish XIII. And they haven't said anything about a delay. Instead they have said the complete opposite. They have said that development is going smoothly. Nomura calls this game "his masterpiece" and wants it only on the PS3. A lot of people know Nomura is a huge PS3 fanboy.

VS XIII 360 version announced, i'm betting this is a paid delay (by MS so that if it is announced, they would come out the same time)

Thats why developer should never announced their game way too early. FFXIII was announced in 2005 and got released on late 2009 for japan and march 2010 worldwide. Versus announced in 2006. They also stopped working on this game for while to focus on FFXIII. So I expected late 2012 for japanese release
