Modern Warfare 2 Becomes Best-Selling Game of All Time in UK
After breaking records worldwide last year and becoming the "biggest entertainment launch in history," Activision Blizzard has one more Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 record for Kotick's mantle: biggest-selling game in the U.K., ever. Activision's opus has just topped Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training (DS) after only 41 weeks (roughly ten months) of availability. In comparison, it took Dr. Kawashima 36 months to overtake the previous record holder, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Since launch, MW2 has only been out of the monthly sales top ten charts three times, including this week, where it dropped ten places from 8th to 18th. This new record will definitely aid in Activision's goal to become the "world's most profitable entertainment company" within the next five to ten years.
First, the U.K. Next... the world?

Are we talking PS360 or PS360+PC? If the former then that's impressive given the considerably smaller user base compared to DS (8.3M PS360's sold vs 11.3M DS's sold) . But if it includes PC then, while still impressive, it's not as amazing an achievement.
It deserves it. It is such an awesome game and extremely well developed despite its multiplayer flaws.
That's across multiple platforms, though - don't know if the 360 version will claim Kawashima's individual platform crown.
