Bethesda Softworks just confirmed Fallout: New Vegas for Autumn 2010, and while that is no release date, having a release quarter is nice already, wouldn't you say?
Along with this info Bathesda went on to mention that the game will be featured in lots of cover stories in magazines all over the world...
Not much is known about the game aside from the little bit of (rather expected and bolded) info given in their official Press Release (below) and the teaser.

Official Teaser Trailer for Fallout: New Vegas Revealed Today
February 4, 2010 (London, UK) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced that Fallout®: New Vegas™, the next chapter in the critically-acclaimed Fallout franchise, will be available in Autumn 2010. The game is currently in development at Obsidian Entertainment for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows. The first trailer, which provides new insight into the game, is now available at fallout.bethsoft.com.
