Monster Hunter Tri Bundle w/ Classic Controller for NA Announced
Capcom has just issued a press release where they confirm that there will be, just like in Japan, a Monster Hunter Tri bundle with a Classic Controller Pro when it releases exclusively for Wii this April. Check the pictures of the boxart and the controller, and the full press release below

The Perfect Bundle for Hunting Season: Monster Hunter® Tri and Wii Classic Controller Pro Come Together for the First Time in North America
Bundle Will Bring the Highly-Anticipated New Controller and Popular Franchise Together for the Ultimate Monster Hunting Experience on the Wii System
SAN MATEO, Calif. & REDMOND, Wash. Capcom® Entertainment, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, and Nintendo of America today announced an exciting new bundle featuring one of the most highly anticipated titles for 2010, Monster Hunter® Tri, and combining it with the new Classic Controller Pro™ for the Wii™ system. The Classic Controller Pro’s more traditional control configuration will give gamers the ultimate Monster Hunting experience when the bundle becomes available in North America this April at a suggested retail price of $59.99.
“Monster Hunter Tri has made a huge splash in the Japanese market, and we’re confident the bundle with the Classic Controller Pro will give fans in North America plenty to get excited about,” said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America’s vice president of Licensing. “Gamers of all kinds enjoy playing games on Wii. Monster Hunter Tri delivers an incredible new experience on Wii, while the Classic Controller Pro gives players even more control options for their favorite Wii games.”
The new Classic Controller Pro includes a second row of shoulder buttons and ergonomically friendly grips. The Classic Controller Pro plugs directly into the Wii Remote™ controller, and until now, has been available only in the Japanese market.
The Classic Controller Pro will be compatible with more than 450 Wii, WiiWare™ and Virtual Console™ games. The Classic Controller Pro bundled with Monster Hunter Tri will be black, while both black and white versions of the controller will also be available separately at a suggested retail price of $19.99. The game will also be available without a controller at a suggested retail price of $49.99.
Making its North American debut on Wii this spring, Monster Hunter Tri is one of the most strikingly beautiful titles developed for Nintendo’s Wii system. Pushing the hardware to the limit, Monster Hunter Tri depicts a living, breathing ecosystem where humans co-exist with majestic monsters that roam both dry land and brand new sub-aqua environments – a first for the series. Offering the player varied control configurations to suit their style of play, players can choose between the Classic Controller Pro, Wii Remote™ and Nunchuck™, or Classic Controller™ to slay the monsters that inhabit the world.
The Monster Hunter series has sold over 11 million units worldwide and has become a social phenomenon in Japan giving rise to training camps, dedicated festivals and numerous licensed products. According to Media Create, Monster Hunter Tri sold 520,000 units in its first week of release in Japan and became the leading title sold across all platforms for the week of its release.

I jizzed my pants when I saw the release date. Then I did it even more when I saw the pro. I've played it since the PS2. If anyone wants to swap codes let me know i'll gladly swap with any fan of Monster hunter.
Great! I was recently looking for this at amazon. I'll be buying this one, although I'll play Monster Hunter with the Wiimote, I'll use this for Virtual Console
First day purchase. It's been awhile since I've picked up a Wii title for myself personally.
It looks so beautiful, the black pro. It's like an attractive female in revealing clothing.............probably not the best comparison, but that's the best I can think of. Anyway I'm glad it will be capable to use in Monster Hunter 3. A game I have planned to get months ago, now bundled with this beauty.
OMG yes!
This is *exactly* what I was waiting for. Some games are just better with a gamepad, and MH is one of them. Day one for me, on this bundle.
On top of that, I'll bet MH3 will beat 2M units WW now. This bundle is exactly what it needed. Great move by both Nintendo and Capcom.
Oh hell yeah, the pro is coming and the only thing left is black Wii
i myself am hoping for the black wii bundle;
i am strongly considering purchasing another wii :-)
@Hephaestos
What is wrong with a black controller? Oh ya, you want a white one to go with your white wiimote. You have a problem with two different color wii parts connecting?
"I don't know if I'll get this or not, it doesn't look that much different from the classic controller."
I think this is for those that don't have it yet, or were holding out. So just buy the standalone game.
Everyone must remember that the online that is free for NA will be for a limited time in terms of years (I forgot how long MH on ps2 lasted for NA online, but it might have been only 3 years) where as the Japanese ps2 MH kept on going because of the fact that it was pay to play. Can someone who's played MH on ps2 confirm how long MH online lasted in America cuz i remember getting into it late and i sure regretted it and only made it to HR17 with lots of help from friends online. So as long as you get into the game early it's nothing to really worry about. : )
Seems kinda like they are taking a step backwards by including the classic controller pro. As if Nintendo is admitting their Wiimote & Nunchuk aren't up to stuff to play this game. It's nice the pro is coming for those that want it, but bundling it, to me this sends a mixed message to the market.
I don't know if I'll get this or not, it doesn't look that much different from the classic controller.
free online yes or no? lol, it's a 100% buy for me if it has free online already, so this is like a 150% buy with free online.
Definitely will get this as a bundle, never got a classic controller, was going to get MH3 anyhow, so this makes sense.
I'm getting the Black Knight case mod for me Wii. I'm gonna completely replace my Wii's white case with a black one. It will be awesome. ^_^
I was right when i predicted that this was the reason why we haven't got the classic controller yet.
Pity its not the jap. one though.
@naznatips, though of course I could be wrong, I am quite certain there hasn't been any official confirmation. There have been a lot of "are considering"s, "probably"s and "will take into consideration"s but no actual, definitive confirmation for all I recall.
Ugh, unreal.. I JUST bought an imported white classic controller pro for like 40 bucks on amazon. Guess I can always try to resell it.
Wow FINALLY the pro is coming!
Sweet! And can't wait for the game too!.
@naznatips
Did Capcom actually confirm it? Must've missed that. Great news, this'll go great along my black Wii :-)
It was confirmed free a while back routsounman. Nice looking controller. Maybe I'll pick the bundle up.
I don't see any pay for play on the box, can we safely assume it's online free now?
