New Super Mario Bros Wii Hits 10 Mil, Breaks Sales Record

New Super Mario Bros Wii has hit another milestone today, 10 million in worldwide sales, with that milestone comes breaking Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' record of fastest to sell 10 million copies on a single console. The previous record was ten weeks and New Super Mario Bros smashes it at seven, no doubt this generation will continue to break sales records for previous generations.
Currently the game stands at 4.5 million in North America, 2.9 million in Japan, and 2.9 in others. Along with that the game has amassed an estimated $610 million in revenue worldwide. To say the game is selling like hotcakes would be an understatement, and isn't stopping any time soon.
Update: With adjustments New Super Mario Bros Wii has now sold 10 million in seven weeks not eight, an even more impressive record.
